SHILIDA Attended FIC 2022 In Guangzhou

Considering the recent developments regarding the COVID-19 outbreak in various parts of the country, including Shanghai, and the implementation of strict measures for epidemic prevention and control, we have made a carefully considered decision to ensure the health, safety, and successful organization of the upcoming 25th China International Food Additives and Ingredients Exhibition (FIC2022) and the 31st National Food Additives Production and Application Technology Exhibition.

After thorough research and evaluation, we have chosen to relocate the event to Guangzhou. The exhibition will take place from August 16 to 18, 2022, at Area A of the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Our primary objective is to guarantee the well-being of all participants while ensuring the uninterrupted progress of the exhibition.

In this exhibition, we showcased not just our regular β-carotene series products, but also our latest offerings, lycopene and lutein. Lycopene is commonly found in fruits like tomatoes, tomato products, watermelon, and grapefruit. It serves as the primary pigment in ripe tomatoes and is classified as one of the well-known carotenoids. Back in 1989, its exceptional singlet oxygen quenching activity was discovered by MASCIO, which sparked significant interest in studying its functions. Subsequent research has delved into various aspects such as lycopene's absorption and metabolism, its potential in reducing the risk of prostate cancer, other tumors, and cardiovascular diseases, as well as the extraction and measurement methods associated with this compound. Currently, lycopene not only serves as a popular natural pigment but has also found increasing utilization in functional foods, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.
